UNBEATEN Division One (North) leaders Guiseley Vixens are intent on springing an FA Women' Cup shock when they entertain Premier Division (North) side Nottingham Forest in a first round tie.

Guiseley maintained their superb start to the season with a 4-1 win at Tranmere Rovers last week thanks to a hat-trick from Sarah Danby and a goal from Natalie Bruce before Tranmere pulled a goal back ten minutes from time. The only setback for Guiseley was a booking for skipper Alarna Fuller.

Mid-table Huddersfield Town have an all Premier Division clash at home to Derby County while Division 1 (North) side Brighouse Town are favourite to see off East Midlands Regional League side Peterborough Northern Star after a morale boosting 2-1 win at bottom club Mossley Hill.

Charlotte Proud and Jodie Redgrave were on target for Brighouse but an 82nd min strike from Mossley Hill's Kirstie Pickin made for a nail biting finish.

Weather conditions have hampered progress in the West Riding County FA Women's Cup and Premier Division Bradford Park Avenue will try again tomorrow to complete their all West Riding League second round tie with Second Division Amaranth.

In the games played last week, Harrogate Railway won 1-0 at Silsden, Lower Hopton and Tyersal had penalty shoot out wins over Ripon City and Ilkley Town respectively and Farsley Celtic won 9-0 at Battyeford Belles.

The third round draw now reads: Leeds Medics and Dentist v Leeds Ladies, Ossett Town v Guiseley Vixens, Farsley Celtic v Bradford Park Avenue or Amaranth, Tyersal v Brighouse Athletic, Lower Hopton v Brighouse Town, Castleford White Rose v Harrogate Railway, Yorkshire Amateur v Bradford City, Altofts v Clifton Rangers or Brayton Belles.

Brighouse Town reserves bowed out 6-2 at home to Middlesbrough in the FA Premier League Reserve Division Two Cup and they now face a league game at Bradford City reserves tomorrow. Bottom club Guiseley are at home to leaders Blackburn Rovers and third-placed Huddersfield are at home to Hull City.
