ARON Heywood went on an incredible scoring spree as Division One leaders Lyceum thrashed bottom side Wyke Rangers 14-1 in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League.

Heywood bagged 11 of his side's goals as they stretched their 100 per cent start to eight games, while Glynn Beale also bagged a couple with Kyle Trennery and substitute Ryan Aujla completing the tally.

Defender Anthony Smith grabbed the man of the match award and helped his team to a 4-1 win by grabbing two goals for Swaine Green as they won 4-1 at Grass Greener United, who replied through Craig Wiseman.

Oakenshaw found opponents Ferrybridge Progressive WMC far too strong in their delayed national FA Sunday Cup tie.

The Alliance side slumped to a 7-0 defeat as the West Riding County FA Sunday Cup holders made comfortable progress.

Next up for Ferrybridge is a home clash with Oakenshaw's league rivals Thornton United, while fellow Premier Division side West Bowling visit Newton Aycliffe.

Premier Division action at the weekend saw Bowling move five points clear at the summit with a 4-1 win at second-placed Thornbury Celtic.

Bowling soon got their passing game going and Nathan Woodward was unlucky to see his 30-yard shot saved by the home keeper.

But the opening goal was not long in coming as top scorer Glyn Hirst latched on to a pass from Steven Bargh and his persistence ensured the ball found the back of the net.

The home side were under a lot of pressure at this stage and must have been happy to go in at the interval only one goal down.

Yet the second half was only ten minutes old when Bowling doubled their tally. Aidan Day fed Josh Milner out wide and his cross was met superbly by Hirst, whose shot went in off the post.

Chris Wood then found himself one on one with the keeper and he neatly passed the ball into the corner to make it 3-0.

Thornbury forced home a reply but Bowling where not done and, in the dying seconds, Wood sent a 30-yard pass through to Day, who rounded the last defender and fired into the corner as his side maintained their 100 per cent record.

Bradford Phoenix are now second after a 6-3 victory over Allerton, while Sandy Lane beat Ventus United 2-0 with Matthew Cavanagh and Christopher Royston on target.

Jordan Buck scored for Bolton Woods but four second-half goals from Buttershaw Celtic turned the tables as Lee Smith (2), Liam Keeley and Danny O'Donnell secured a 4-1 outcome.

Dominic Staunton scored for Woodman Wanderers but was later booked as his side earned a 1-1 draw against Division 1A leaders Station Hotel, who replied through Paul Harrison.

Beldon Oddies Reserves lost 4-1 to Queensbury, with Lewis Forsythe hitting a brace backed up by the two Masons – Ross and Steven.

Mill Lane moved second in Division 2A after thumping Thornton United 3rds 7-2, with Lee Taylor hitting a double for the visitors.

Eastward are up to fourth after edging a five-goal thriller 3-2 against Turf. Paul Holinski and Richard Varley gave Turf an interval lead but a John Selby double and Ryan Dunn strike gave Eastward the points.

A second-half hat-trick for Tim Sibanda was enough to ensure that Titans Reserves took the points from a 7-4 victory over Eccleshill Punjab.
