REVITALISED Bradford City take on Nottingham Forest tomorrow looking for a third successive win in the FA Women's Premier League.

The match, at Eccleshill United, is a return to Northern Division action following a resounding 6-0 win in the Premier League Plate competition against Crewe.

City made the perfect start at Crewe as they ran in four goals without reply in the first 45 minutes. Shauna Legge opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and Charlotte Stuart added a second goal six minutes later.

With Lucy Sowerby and Laura Elford adding two more before the break, it was largely a case of consolidation in the second half – but there was still time for substitute Hannah Campbell to add a fifth and Elford to compete the scoring with her second.

It promises to be a testing end to the month with a game at leaders Blackburn next week – before November sees the start of City's bid to complete a fourth successive County Cup-winning season when they travel to North East Regional League side Ossett Albion for a second-round tie.

City's reserve side, in the competition for the first time, are at Premier League (North) Division One side Guiseley Vixens.

Guiseley, currently top of their division, were also in Plate action last week and turned in a fine display to take Premier Division opponents Huddersfield Town to extra time and penalties before bowing out of the competition.

Debbie Hastings struck twice in the first half for Town but Alarna Fuller got one in between to keep Guiseley in the game. In the second half, Emily Heckler was on target for Town but an own goal and an 80th-minute effort from Natalie Brace made it 3-3 after 90 minutes.

Goals from Abbie McIver (Guiseley) and Heckler then made 4-4 before penalties finally decided the issue in Town's favour.

Guiseley are back in action tomorrow with a home game against Liverpool Marshalls Feds, while Brighouse Town – who also bowed out of the Plate on penalties last week at Wolves – have an interesting West Yorkshire derby at home to Leeds.

Bradford Park Avenue earned a much-needed first win of the season in the West Riding County League as won 5-3 at Ossett Town, despite having to play 80 minutes with only ten players due to an early injury to newcomer Melandri Nyandoro.

On target for Avenue were skipper Sarah Huby (2), Megan Medley (2) and the outstanding Jade Nelson.

Next up for Avenue is a trip to second-placed Hemsworth, while Bradford City – bottom of Division One with three defeats from three after a 4-1 loss at Tingley Reserves – go to fellow strugglers Hebden Royd.
