PHIL Joseph is ready to get up close and personal with new Bulls team-mate Ross Peltier in international colours tonight.

Joseph's Wales clash with Peltier's Jamaica for the first time in a full international at Wakefield's Belle Vue.

Both go into the game in hot form from last weekend – the Welsh kicked off the 2017 World Cup qualifiers with a 50-0 victory over Serbia in Llanelli and Jamaica battered Ireland 68-16.

Joseph said: "They're a good team and are rough and ready in the forwards. They've also got some speed in their backline.

"I know of Ross and look forward to playing with him next season. It'll be good to face him."

The Jamaica game is followed by the second qualifier for John Kear's men against Italy in Monza next Saturday.

Joseph is relishing the challenge of international rugby ahead of his return to Odsal and was pleased with his performance against the Serbians.

"During the week, we identified that Serbia had a big pack," he said.

"I'm very happy with how I did and I enjoy playing for Wales. John certainly knows how to get the best out of me.

"I hope Bradford Bulls fans and others in the area come to support the match tonight. It should be a great game."

Wales boss Kear said: "I'm sure the people of Yorkshire will support the match. People in the area are very knowledgeable about their rugby league.

"You have the Four Nations but, at this time of the year, there aren't many venues in Yorkshire being used, so it's an opportunity for people to come and watch some international rugby league."
