JAMIE Peacock believes the Championship know-how of former Bulls duo Danny Addy and Mitch Clark could be key to Hull KR's bid for an instant promotion.

The relegated Robins yesterday confirmed the double capture of Addy and Clark as they rebuild for an assault on Super League.

Both left Odsal on one-year deals with options to extend their stay if Hull KR regain their top-flight status.

Bulls legend Peacock, Hull KR's head of rugby, sees the pair of them as big weapons in helping to achieve that.

"We've been looking to increase the depth of the squad and both players have plenty to offer," said Peacock.

"Although they are still in their early to mid-20s, they have plenty of experience for their age, have a good knowledge of the Championship and they are both hungry to come to Hull KR and make an impression.

"Danny is able to cover a number of positions to a high standard, while Mitch is a big prop with bags of potential.

"He's got time on his side until he hits his peak as a front-rower – but he's a strong ball carrier who will provide the team with some real impact and go-forward."

Addy, who will be in action at his new ground on Friday for Scotland's Four Nations opener against Australia, made over 150 first-team appearances for the Bulls.

The 25-year-old turned out in various roles but mainly as a loose forward or stand-off, where he became a solid goal-kicker.

Former Junior Kiwi Clark, 23, was previously with Doncaster after coming through the ranks at Penrith Panthers in the NRL.

Peacock said: "Although we had initially agreed contracts with them earlier this season, both Danny and Mitch have shown they are up for the fight next year and are committed to helping us push for promotion back up to Super League in 2017."
