STUART McCall admitted the result was all that mattered after City's comeback win over Fleetwood.

The Bantams made it ten games unbeaten as they moved back up to third in League One with a 2-1 Valley Parade victory.

But they had to do it the hard way after going a goal down before hitting back through Filipe Morais and a Billy Clarke penalty.

"It was probably our least convincing home performance of the season – but we managed to get the three points, which were needed," said McCall.

"The overwhelming feeling is relief but I was probably slightly happier after we played against Port Vale, Oldham and Bristol Rovers, although we still created opportunities."

McCall handed Haris Vuckic his first start and played him behind the front two. But it was the appearance of Clarke from the bench after Marc McNulty suffered a dead leg that swung the game in City's favour.

Bantams boss McCall said: "We set out with a shape that didn't really work and that's credit to Fleetwood. Having said that, we had opportunities in that little period when we got Haris on the ball.

"Billy came on and had a great impact on the game – but I didn't expect any different. He made one, scored one and set a chance up for Haris.

"We always had the thought of bringing him on with Marsh (Mark Marshall) and Lawsy (Nicky Law) for a bit of freshness.

"We were a little bit sloppy and I think you could tell a few lads looked heavy-legged after the exertions of Saturday's tough encounter (at Bolton). But we got there in the end.

"They always say it's a good sign if you can still get the three points when you're not at your best and we'll take it."

McNulty will be assessed later in the week but could be struggling for the weekend trip to Chesterfield.

McCall said: "It's unfortunate for him because he needs game time. I thought he looked lively at times. He got down into areas we wanted to get him and shot just across the goal.

"He just got banged with the goalie and once those dead legs stiffen up, you are struggling to play on."

Rory McArdle, Matthew Kilgallon and Nathan Clarke will all be involved for the reserves at Wrexham this afternoon.
