CITY will run a couple of late fitness checks before the weekend showdown with Bolton.

Stuart McCall this afternoon confirmed that there were one or two doubts – but would not reveal the players involved.

He said: “We’ve got a couple of little niggles that will hopefully clear up by Saturday. But it’s good to have most of the squad available.

“It’s a shame we didn’t have a reserve game during the week for the likes of Rory (McArdle) and Nathan Clarke. We’ve had a good week’s training but Nathan’s not had a game since he’s been out.”

A sell-out following of 4,300 will back the Bantams at the Macron for the first game against Phil Parkinson since he left the club in June.

McCall said: “I would be really surprised and disappointed if he gets anything other than a really good ovation from the fans.”
