ONE of the biggest snooker matches seen in Bradford for a number of years takes place on Saturday, September 10 at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre.

It sees five-times world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan taking on rising star and 2012 UK champion Judd Trump as part of the Eleven30 Series that has been taking place around the country.

O'Sullivan is probably the most naturally talented player of all time and most would argue the greatest cueman the sport has ever produced.

But this challenge event against Trump over a six-event series will test both players, with the winner taking the overall £30,000 prize pot.

Trump took the first two, 6-5 at Frimley Green and 6-4 in Belfast, so it is expected the 'Rocket' will be firing on all cylinders to pull back.

The match is over the best of 11 frames and will be refereed by Michaela Tabb, with John Virgo acting as compere for the evening in Bradford as well as performing trick shots.

As an extra treat, special guest Jimmy White be will performing an exhibition prior to the main match to liven up the audience in anticipation of a classic encounter.

Doors open at 4pm, with the Jimmy White exhibition starting at 5pm, Virgo performing his legendary trick-shot routine at 6.45pm and the main event kicking off at 7.30pm.

The event is co-promoted by Bradford's former professional Mick Speight and his MJK Sports Events team and tickets are still available at a cost of £25 and £35 by calling 07414-960956.

In addition next week's event, two other former world champions will be coming to the city in the coming months to perform exhibitions.

Six-times winner Steve Davis OBE will be taking on some of the area's local talent at Fields Sports & Social Club on Saturday, October 15, with the event being used to raise funds for the Bradford Burns Unit at the request of the host club.

Tickets are now available and can be obtained via Richard Bakes (07940-651850), Craig Fenton (07414-755846) or Paul Ascough (07969-895381).

Meanwhile, 1997 world champion Ken Doherty will be putting on an exhibition at Shipley Conservative Club on Saturday, November 19 and tickets can be purchased from Keith Walker (07761-628384).
