TITLE contenders Batley and Yeadon were both frustrated by the weather but the Championship A division's three remaining All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League games all produced positive results.

Leaders Batley were 24-0 in reply to Hunslet Nelson's 153-6 when rain brought an early end to their game. Opener Joseph Plater (51no) and Patrick Hinchliffe (49) led the way for Nelson, while Tariq Hussain (3-53) was the best of the Batley bowlers.

Townville, who are 43 points clear at the top with three games to go, can clinch the title next week as 18 more points will mean that second-placed Wrenthorpe are unable to catch them even if they get the maximum 20 from each of their remaining three games.

Wrenthorpe were a team in a hurry, Jonathan Rudge and Andrew Bourke impressing with the ball as they breezed to a nine-wicket win over Carlton.
