SALTS bounced back from being a goal behind at half-time in midweek to defeat visitors Halifax Irish 4-1 in the Taylor's Timber West Riding League Premier Division, Ryan Whitfield bagging a hat-trick.

The victory lifted Salts, who visit promoted Overthorpe tomorrow, to third.

Steeton were heading for a home victory against Campion when a free-kick by Campion's keeper Carl Renardson evaded his opposite number in the final minute, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

DRAM Community, still to earn a point in their first season in the top flight, visit Steeton tomorrow, while Campion's game at Kirkburton has been called off.

West Horton and Thornton United are the early pacesetters in Division One, but West Horton had to settle for a point in a 3-3 midweek draw at Tyersal.

Tomorrow they host third-placed Wakefield City at Myra Shay, while Thornton United welcome newcomers Churwell Lions (2.30pm).

Tyersal and Hunsworth, both relegated from the top flight at the end of last season, have home games.

Ventus Yeadon Celtic visit Arkwright Strret, when Tyersal, after drawing two and losing two, will be seeking their first win, while Hunsworth welcome promoted Route One Rovers to East Bierley.
