TITLE contenders Beckwithshaw and Otley comfortably saw off their nearest Division One rivals and remain just two points apart going into the final four Aire-Wharfe League games.

Beckwithshaw made surprisingly light work of ending Burley's impressive charge. They bowled out the visitors for 142, in which opener Sami Rehman made 53, before cruising home by nine wickets.

Otley gave similar treatment to Horsforth. Gareth Lee (36), Michael Lambert (30) and Ian Stephens (30) helped Horsforth recover from 47-6 to 155, with James Davies taking 4-32, but Ben Morley (94no) and David Hester (41no) had no problem steering Otley to victory.

Luke Bott took 4-34 as Bilton were shot out for 125 and even though Ilkley's top four fell victim to wicketkeeper Ryan Bradshaw, a fifth-wicket stand of 71 between Alex Bailey (28) and Nick Cockcroft (39no) made sure they won.

Jake Zjilinszky also picked up four wickets as Steeton were restricted to 162, with David Robinson (64) and Stephen Pearson (42) top scoring. Paul Hardcastle (3-43) and James Emmott (4-42) captured seven Pool wickets before John Goldthorp (39no) and Sam Wilkinson (17no) clinched victory.

A half-century from Kuda Samunderu was the highlight of Rawdon's 176-9 and they were well on the way to victory with Collingham struggling on 99-7 when rain forced the game to be abandoned.

Division Two promotion favourites Guiseley were grateful when the rain stopped their match because they were on the brink of defeat at Skipton.

Accurate bowling from Iqbal Khan and Gary Owens had dismissed Guiseley for 95 and the hosts were eight runs short of victory with four wickets in hand when the game was called off.

That meant an extra three points for Guiseley which kept them in touch with leaders Colton, who looked set for victory at Thackley before the weather intervened. Shane Marshall had a good day for Thackley, taking 5-56 in Colton's 211.

If Guiseley were relieved to see the rain, then Calverley were frustrated after rediscovering their form.

Opener Barrie McCormicik (37) and a last-wicket stand of 65 between Tom Simpson (16) and Johnny Hudson, who scored 47 off 26 balls – including five sixes – saw them to 228 and they had Ben Rhydding struggling on 93-4 when play was halted.

Will Atkins (50) and Ricky Palacio (90) helped Addingham to 231 but Follifoot managed to overtake that with two wickets in hand.

Harden moved another step closer to relegation with a seven-wicket defeat at Adel after being dismissed for 88.

Nowhere was the frustration of an abandoned game more keenly felt than at Green Lane, who were seven runs away from beating Bolton Villas for a victory which would have taken them into the three promotion spots.

Luke Stockhill (69no) led the way in Villas' 152-4 but a century opening stand from Waleed Akhtar (64) and Andy Lee (43) had put Lane in the driving seat.

With leaders Leeds Modernians rained off after one innings, promotion hopefuls Hall Park and Tong Park Esholt had a chance to reduce the gap but both slumped to defeat.

The consistent Mark McEneaney hit 66 in Hall Park's 149 but Tom Smallwood (33) and George Hill (32no) clinched a five-wicket win for Olicanian.

Tong Park Esholt fared even worse against Menston, who reached 232-9 on the back of two half-century stands by Doug Bradley (75), Mick Scott taking 4-61.

Tong Park Esholt never recovered after Josh Dracup picked up two wickets in the first over of the reply and, even though Nick Flood hit 47, they could only manage 102, with Awais Khan taking 4-31.

A four-wicket haul from Manley du Preez restricted Bardsey to 169 but, despite 40 from opener Chris Meehan and 35 by Saba Khan, Silsden still went down by five runs.
