THINGS are mighty tight in both Section A groups of the Quaid-e-Azam League with four matches remaining.

Only two points separate the top three in both Group One and Group Two – and Group One leaders Bradford Moor had two centurions in their comprehensive victory over Bhalot.

Sohail Akram made 162 and Ismail Nazir 120 in Moor's 296-6, with bottom side Bhalot then being dismissed for 100.

However, Moor's rivals Darulshafa and Karmand also both won, with Mohammed Azam's 6-18 helping Darulshafa dismiss Chach for 152 in a three-wicket victory, while Karmand defeated Diamond by 52 runs in a low-scoring encounter.

Friends lost again but only by 22 runs to Shaheen – while Shafaqat Alam's 5-27 was not enough for Central Leeds, who were castled for 95 after bowling out Bradford Royals for 120.

Group Two leaders Earlmarshall, who would be breathing a lot easier were it not for a six-point deduction after fielding an ineligible player, lost by one run to Azad after being dismissed for 98.

That gave renewed hope to both Punjab and Mylahore, who tied on 191 but drew within one and two points respectively of the front-runners.

Kashmir Bradford were the day's high scorers with 316-8, matching Bradford Moor's two century-makers thanks to Hasan Iqbal (129) and Mohammed Zahid (114), before sending Yorkshire Lions back to the pavilion for 226.

Indus Ghari returned to fifth place after a 52-run victory over Kings XI, while Al-Minarah remained in seventh, two points back, after shooting Patriots out for just 47.

In the Premier Section, everything went to form as the top five all won and the bottom five lost.

TABS, Rising Stars, Flix and Heaton Park are all fearing relegation, while top two Keighley RZM and OnQ – who meet in the penultimate fixture – both won.
