MIDFIELDER Romain Vincelot has today joined City from Coventry for an “undisclosed” fee, which the Telegraph & Argus understands could rise to six figures.
The experienced 30-year-old becomes Stuart McCall’s seventh summer recruit after penning a two-year deal – and is seen as a “Gary Jones” style leader.
Vincelot played 46 times for the Sky Blues last season, scoring four goals, and only missed one league game.
Before that, the Frenchman has featured for Dagenham, Brighton and Leyton Orient, where he was named player of the year and was in the League One team of the season.
Born in Poitiers, Vincelot has appeared in two play-off finals, most recently as a team-mate of Nathan Clarke in Leyton Orient’s 2014 loss to Rotherham.
He passed a medical this morning before completing the deal but is not involved against Burnley today.
