BATLEY returned to the top of the Championship A table with a 129-run win over Keighley which earned them a maximum 20 points in the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League.

The highlight of Batley's victory was maiden league century for opener Aqeel Mukhtar. He made exactly 100, with ten fours, and shared a second-wicket stand of 126 with Tariq Mehboob (53) which helped their side to a total of 236-7.

James Rogers took 3-56 for Keighley, who were bowled out for 107 in reply by Aqsad Ali (3-19) and Huzaifa Patel (4-41) as they dropped to second bottom in the table.

Yeadon dropped to second place, four points behind Batley, despite beating Saltaire by seven wickets.

Their bowlers set up the win with Max Maciver (4-48), James Massheder (3-26) and Oliver Halliday (3-9) dismissing Saltaire for 117.

Openers Jake Wray (34) and James Todd (32) ensured that Saltaire won at a canter.

Third-placed Undercliffe lost ground on the top two as they suffered a 59-run defeat at home to Birstall.

The visitors batted first and made 200-6, Nicholas Kaye leading the way with an unbeaten 54 and Ian Carradice (36), Siraj Hussain (30) and David Fozzard (30no) giving him support. Amir Hussain was the pick of the Undercliffe bowlers with 3-40.

Johnny Barton made 47opening for Undercliffe but he lacked support as his side were bowled out for 141, Alexander Debs picking up 3-30 for Birstall.

Hunslet Nelson climbed to fourth after showing no mercy to bottom team Idle as they cruised to a 175-run win.

Half-centuries by Andrew McIntosh (64) and opener Jack Scanlon (50), backed up by 38 not out from Joseph Plater, saw Nelson post a score of 219-5.

Idle were then rolled over for just 44 as Derrick Hammill (4-9) and Will Stiff (4-31) bowled unchanged.

Spinners Simon Bailey (6-36) and Mushtaq Ahmed (3-13) bowled Baildon to an 81-run win Liversedge.

Only opening batsman Jessie Dinnie (37) looked comfortable as Liversedge were all out for 95 in reply to Baildon's 176-7.

Jonny Reynolds was again the best of the Baildon batsmen with 65, while Mounam Ejaz added 32 not out as skipper Steve Lane took 4-57 for Liversedge.
