WEST Bowling head into tomorrow's Yorkshire Men's League Premier Division derby at home to Mirfield Stags in buoyant mood following three wins on the bounce.

Their latest success was a 26-10 win at Siddal Academy which put them fourth in the table.

Centre Adam Reardon returns for the clash against Stags, who are managed by Super League referee Richard Silverwood. Stand-off Liam Coe is missing but Ben Heald steps in as an able deputy.

Bowling coach Glenn Barraclough was delighted with his side's display at Siddal, which saw tries from Jack Milburn, Coe, Max Trueman and scrum half Harry Williams.

Barraclough said: "It was a good all-round team performance. After a couple of easier run-outs we were really tested. We showed control, patience and good defence."

Queensbury are keen to bounce back at Knottingley Worms in Division One after a 36-10 defeat at West Hull Lions A.

Alex Detouche scored both tries for the Bradford outfit, who faced a much stronger Lions side than the one they had defeated at home earlier in the season.

Wibsey Warriors have a blank weekend following their 34-18 defeat at Heworth, which saw Warriors trailing 22-0 at the break only to fight back to 22-18 with ten minutes to go.

Jimmy Rodger touched down twice, Bradley Wright converting both and crossing the whitewash himself.

However, the York side regrouped to pull away in the closing stages, 16-year-old Kieron Smith winning the man of the match for Wibsey.

Keighley Albion produced their fourth win on the spin to go top of Division Two after they won the local derby at Bradford Victoria Rangers 40-24.

After a slow start to the season, Albion have surged up the table thanks to wins over Allerton Bywater, Cutsyke Raiders, Ossett Trinity and now Rangers.

Once they got their noses in front midway through the first half, they never relinquished their advantage but it needed two late tries to put some distance between themselves and their Eccleshill hosts.

Ben Benfield, Colin Pickles and Jack Atkinson scored two tries each for Albion, with Chris Atkins also crossing and Callum Hudson adding conversions. Scrum half Pickles and skipper Chris Price stood out for Keighley, who visit Leeds Akkies in a top-of-the-table clash tonight.

Oscar Woodhead, Hayden Sugden, Mikey Boltwood and Jake Swinscoe claimed tries for Rangers, which were all converted by Sugden.

Boltwood was Vics' man of the match, with Jordan Walker and Aaron Levy also impressing ahead of tomorrow's trip to Cutsyke.

Odsal Sedbergh, aiming to make it six wins out of six in Division Five, are due to host neighbours Drighlington.

Sedbergh are sitting pretty at the top following last week’s 28-16 win at Hull Dockers Steelers.
