LEADERS Batley wasted little time in making it five Championship A wins out of six in the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League.

They dismissed basement outfit Idle for just 51, Muhammad Hafeez (3-9) and Aqsad Ali (3-14) impressing in an eight-wicket verdict.

Batley are now 16 points clear of Undercliffe, who secured a 15-run victory over Baildon.

Jonathan Hughes' 43 was the key component of Undercliffe's 119 as veteran spinner Mushtaq Ahmed (4-12) posed problems.

Baildon were then dismissed for 104 as Jack Rich (4-11) and Zeeshan Qasim (4-37) secured victory for Undercliffe.

Birstall are celebrating their first win after edging a one-wicket success over Keighley with nine balls to spare.

Nick Kaye (80no) and Salman Sayed (63) ensured their side overhauled Keighley's 214-2, despite the efforts of Andy Wear (4-35).

The highlight of the Keighley innings was an unbroken third-wicket stand of 172 between overseas player Ben Hastie (95no) and Max Davidson (74no).

Spinner Stephen Lane produced a match-winning spell of 6-35 as Liversedge recorded a three-wicket win at Saltaire.

Adeel Ashraf (55) was top scorer for Saltaire as they were restricted to 157-9 before Matthew Butler was unbeaten on 40 as Liversedge edged home, despite the efforts of leg-spinner Tanzeel Altaf (3-43).

Ossett's seven-wicket victory at Hunslet Nelson was their first of the season and lifted them out of the bottom two.

Khalid Usman's 5-33 helped Ossett bowl out Hunslet Nelson for 94, of which Daniel Calverley made 42. Richard Whitehurst's unbeaten 36 then steered Ossett home.

In the Conference Division, leaders Buttershaw St Paul's made it five wins out of five with a crushing six-wicket romp at East Ardsley, who were dismissed for 76, Kevin McDermott (4-9) and Tosh Baker (4-16) setting up the success.

Great Preston reduced the St Paul's lead to six points, however, after securing a maximum 20 points in defeating Crossbank Methodists by 95 runs, Australian all-rounder Jackson Freeman scoring an unbeaten 102 and taking 4-30.

Third-placed Northowram Fields also picked up 20 points after Zafar Khan (5-44) and Jonathan Lee (3-8) bowled out Gildersome for 131 to complete a 133-run win.

Khan had a fine match, having earlier made an unbeaten 51 as he and John Lister (51no) helped their side build on their earlier efforts of Majid Jahangir (49) as they compiled 264-7.

Robert Young hit 50 and took 4-39 for Rodley but still ended up on the losing side as his team went down by 124 runs at Adwalton.

Dean Jackson (50) and James Paterson (45) helped Adwalton to 238-9 before bowling out Rodley for 114. Paterson rounded off a fine individual performance by taking 5-18.
