GIRLINGTON have moved to the top of the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League's Group A after defeating Bradford Moor by three wickets.

Moor scored 161-8 in a match that was reduced to 30 overs per side, and Girlington were 120-6 after 21 overs when it rained.

The overs left were reduced to five, but with Mohammed Azad making an unbeaten 101, Girlington reached their target.

Omars are up to second after winning a run feast at Woodhall Playing Fields.

Hallfield scored 233, of which Mohammed Fayaz made 64 and Navjot Singh Bains 40.

Rizwan Ali took 4-53, and then completed a fine all-round performance by scoring 78 of Omars' 234-5, backed up by Naseem Iqbal (44no) and Waqas Ali (43).

Interlink got a winning draw against Bradford Gymkhana in another game of 30 overs per side, with Interlink making 187-5, skipper Yunus Bismillah (59no) sharing a fifth-wicket stand of 112 with Naeem Patel (53).

In reply, Gymkhana held out for a draw at 84-3.

Great Horton Church v Apperley Bridge was 35 overs per side, with Church making 163-7 (Asad Abbas 51no). Bridge were 38-3 after 11 overs when rain stopped play.

There was no play between Salem Athletic and VVS Laxman due to a wet outfield.

Parkside remain at the head of affairs in Group B after beating Girlington by nine wickets.

Girlington scored 123-8, Saeed Afsar seeing Parkside home with 80 not out.

Bradford Gymkhana are up to second after defeating Allerton by seven wickets.

Allerton were shot out for 32 (Nazam Hussain 4-8), Gymkhana replying with 36-3.

Bowling Baptist, also beaten by seven wickets by Yorkshire LPS, fared little better, being castled for 42 (D Patel 5-18).

Great Horton Church almost pulled off a victory against Cambing, scoring 145 (Shahid Khan 45, Asad Khan 5-57)before having Cambing at 103-8 when it was stopped.

Salem Athletic will feel more aggrieved, however, as Cross Roads & Daisy Hill had been dismissed for 124 (Shakeel Arshad 4-28) and Salem were 80-1 when the match was curtailed.

Hallfield stay top of Group C, even though their match against West Bowling was not completed.

Dominic Carter scored a magnificent 126 not out in Bowling's 162-7, and Hallfield were 61-4 after 21.3 overs.

Greenfield have moved into second after defeating Great Horton Meths by six wickets after the latter had been dismissed for 102, Greenfield replying with 105-4 (Nazir Iqbal 45 no, Gaz Llewellyn 4-22).

Mandhata were cruising at 87-3 (Pritesh Patel 42no) when the heavens opened against Cambing, who had made 154-9 (Yasir Ali 68) in a game of 34 overs per side.

Yorkshire LPS may also feel that they were on top against Bowling Baptists after making 139-9 and having them at 72-6 when rain stopped play.

There was no play between Mayfield and Yorkshire Friends.

Mayfield's B team, meanwhile, have gained a clear lead in Group D after beating Central YMCA to make it five wins out of five.

YMCA scored 68-9 off 38 overs, Mayfield B replying with 70-2 of 15.2 overs.

Muff Field A moved into second place after beating their B team by seven wickets, Frank Powell taking 4-26 to help bowl out the B team for 87, the A team replying with 93-3.

Great Horton Meths were the day's low scorers with 23 (Imran Khan 4-1, Assat Mehmood 4-14), Greenfield replying with 28-2.

Allerton's game against Buttershaw St Paul's, and TABS' match against Bradford Indians were called off without any play.
