Yeadon are the early Championship A leaders in the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League – after defeating Idle by 77 runs to record their second win of the campaign.

They were set on the way to their latest success by openers James Todd (55) and Jake Wray (46) who shared a first-wicket alliance of 94.

Yeadon made 177-5 in their innings in a match reduced to 30 overs per side. Idle could only muster 100 in reply as Michael Hunter took 4-36 and Oliver Halliday (3-25).

Yeadon have 33 points, two more than Batley who raced to a nine-wicket win over Ossett.

The visitors were restricted to 136-8 as Tariq Hussain took 4-38. Batley eased to their target with 11.3 overs to spare thanks to the efforts of openers Sufyan Patel (65) and Aqeel Mukhtar (53no) who put on 115 for the first wicket.

Hunslet Nelson narrowly failed to force victory against Undercliffe. They had their opponents 99-9 in reply to their 112 when the match ended.

As Undercliffe did not receive the same number of overs as their opponents, it meant each side got three points plus the bonuses they had earned.

Skipper Will Stiff (32) was top scorer for Hunslet Nelson as they struggled against the bowling of Undercliffe's opening pair of Zeeshan Qasim (5-24) and Craig Wiseman (3-30).

Gulsheraz Ahmed (32) top scored as Undercliffe found the going equally difficult against the bowling of Derrick Hamill (4-30) and Stiff (3-36).

Baildon v Saltaire and Keighley v Liversedge were abandoned without a ball being bowled.
