NEW manager James Gill will be hoping for a winning start when relegation-threatened Silsden visit West Didsbury & Chorlton in the North West Counties Premier Division on Saturday.

Former player Gill was recruited from rivals Barnoldswick Town when Ryan Haigh resigned.

Gill has already brought crowd favourite Zack Dale and the reliable Dale Feather back to the club.

A trip to seventh placed West Didsbury will be a tough introduction for Gill who inherited a side that has not won since December 8, when they edged a West Riding County Cup tie 3-2 at Thackley.

That victory earned the Cobbydalers a semi-final at Harrogate Town last Tuesday but the tie was washed out.
