OMARI Caro is aiming to show fans what he is made of this season as the Bulls chase promotion to Super League.

The former London Broncos and Hull KR winger has impressed since joining Jimmy Lowes' squad last July.

His initial deal was until the end of last season but five tries in eight appearances saw him handed a contract for the 2016 campaign.

With a full pre-season behind him, the 24-year-old is aiming to hit the ground running from the off.

In December, the Hammersmith-born wideman represented Jamaica in their 2017 World Cup qualifiers against the United States and Canada in Florida.

The Americans won both their games to reach next year's tournament but Caro, who qualifies through his Jamaican father, believes he will be benefit from the experience.

He said: "The organisation of it wasn't great because it wasn't three professional teams – it was three teams vying to become professional.

"But on the field and the actual game-day stuff was really good to be a part of.

"It's always nice to represent your country and most of the English-based players were from the West Yorkshire area.

"My dad is Jamaican, so last year when I played sevens rugby for them I had to get citizenship and a Jamaican passport.

"I've been to Jamaica four or five times and it's hopefully something I can do a lot more often.

"I'd say playing in those qualifiers has helped with my pre-season here at Bradford.

"You can train all year but then play a game of rugby and still be absolutely shattered, so it was a good chance to see where I was at."

Caro has started on the wing in both pre-season friendlies and scored a well-taken try against Castleford on Friday.

He said: "I enjoyed it here last season and I still am enjoying it. I said when I first came to Bradford that I wanted to stay here.

"Now I have, I'm really pleased and I can't wait for the league campaign to start as I feel like I've had a good pre-season.

"There is a lot of competition but it's not a bad thing. It keeps you on your toes and if you're not performing, there is someone else there who will be given a chance. It keeps you honest and wanting to play well.

"With a good pre-season behind me, I'm hoping to hit the ground running for personal reasons as well – to prove to myself what I'm capable of.

"My aim is to score in every game because as a winger, that's what you're paid to do. On a personal note, I would like to play as many games as I can but also score as many as I can."

Caro reckons former London team-mate Oscar Thomas will prove a success following his switch to Odsal.

He said: "Oscar is one of the most talented lads I've come across. We played together at London and I have followed his career ever since, so I know what he's got to offer.

"He's a natural athlete with all the skill in the world – so it's just about finding the best position for him, whether that be half or full back.

"That's something for Oscar and Jimmy to sort out but I'm looking forward to playing alongside him again."

Caro is out of contract at the end of this season and added: "It's too early to think about next year because I don't know what direction this season will go in.

"All being well, I will have a good year and I don't see any reason not to stay here. Fingers crossed this is the year the Bulls get back to where they deserve to be."
