ALAN Sheehan scored on his return to City colours yesterday in a reserve win at Port Vale.
The Irishman played the first half and headed in one of the goals in a 3-2 victory.
But it still seems unlikely that he will feature in Phil Parkinson’s senior plans again.
Sheehan had hoped to clinch a move to Notts County after a recent loan spell back at his former club.
But that was scuppered after the sacking of County boss Ricardo Moniz at the end of last month.
The Telegraph & Argus understands that there are a couple of other League Two clubs looking at the defender, whose Valley Parade contract runs out in the summer.
Sumaili Cissa and Daniel Devine scored the other two City goals at Vale Park.
