ON A day when wet weather and overnight frost claimed many matches, Tyersal and Huddersfield YMCA agreed to switch their twice-postponed West Riding County FA Challenge Cup tie to the 4G pitch at Halifax's Calderdale College.

But the move did no favours for Tyersal as YMCA booked their place in round three with an 8-0 victory, thanks to four goals from Daniel Naidole and two each by Danny Stocker and Andy Salm.

Steeton also managed to play their Keighley & District FA Cup tie at home to West Yorkshire League opponents Oxenhope Recreation.

But they had only a Jamie Longley goal to show for their efforts as the visitors, with strikes from Chris Day, Thomas Maxwell and Oliver Metcalfe, ran out 3-1 victors.

Littletown progressed to round three of the Heavy Woollen & District FA (Wheatley) Cup with a 6-0 victory at Drighlington Juniors.

Also winning 6-0 were Route One Rovers, with a Abdul Hakimaz treble, two goals from Awais Khan and one by Askar Taj steering them to the semi-finals of the Wharfedale & District FA Cup after seeing off Horsforth St Margaret's B.

Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League action was limited to only four games.

In the Premier Division, Lepton Highlanders moved up to second spot after beating Kirkburton 5-1, with Jonathon Bullivant scoring four times.

Dewsbury-based Overthorpe SC consolidated fourth place in Division One with a 6-3 home victory over Steeton Reserves. Jack Allerton (2), Lewis Ward, Reece Patterson, Sam Sweeney and Steven Jordan outscored Andrew Briggs, Kyle Fox and Casey Dowthwaite.

In Division Two, the game between Thornton United and Lower Hopton Reserves was postponed due to their 4G all-weather pitch being frozen.

TVR United took full advantage to move into second position with a 6-3 home win over Littletown Reserves.

Bradford FC snatched a 2-1 victory over Salts Reserves with a 90th-minute free-kick from Mohammed Rizwan.

The weather claimed all three of the quarter-final ties in the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup.

All three games, plus the other one between Salts Reserves and Field, will now take place on Saturday, December 19.
