CHRIS Wood scored a hat-trick as West Bowling stayed top of the Premier League with an emphatic 9-2 win at Bradford Moor in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League.

Playing on a 3G pitch for the first time, Wood opened the scoring from a fine cross by Joe Jagger, who then volleyed in a Wood cross to make it 2-0.

Bradford Moor replied through Mohammed Ismaeel but Wood scored twice to complete his treble before half-time.

The hosts pulled another goal back through Mohammed Faisal to make it 4-2 but headers from captain Cameron Nelson and Paul Jackson put the visitors in total control.

Ben Kendall, playing his first game of the season after injury, then scored twice with Aidan Day also finding the net.

White Eagles and Oakenshaw met for the first time in league combat this season after both coming up from Division One last term.

White Eagles won 4-0, with a brace apiece from Marcus Edwards and Nathan Woodward giving the visitors a comfortable victory.

Peel Park hosted Bolton Woods in a bottom-of-the-table clash and finished with three valuable points after a 4-3 thriller that lifted the home team out of the bottom four.

It was a typical 'game of two halves' as the home team flew out of the traps by taking a 3-0 lead inside the first 20 minutes.

Ryan Dunn put them in front by beating two defenders and hitting a low shot into the corner.

John Selby then added a second with a close-range effort and he struck again with a clever turn and finish which left the visitors' defence in disarray.

The second period belonged to a spirited fightback from the visitors, who fought back with three goals of their own which looked to have earned them a deserved point.

However, the impressive Ryan Dunn added his second of the game with an excellent header in the last minute to hand the hosts victory.

In Division One, four clubs are fighting for the top positions and only two points separate them, with Allerton leading the way after a 3-1 victory over Aire Athletic.

In Division 1B, Beldon Oddies won 2-1 at high-flying rivals FC Great Northern to go above their opponents into pole position on goal difference.

Bradford Vale moved into the top four with a six-goal victory over basement outfit Stocks Lane Rangers.
