BRADFORD Salem will have some New Zealanders willing them to victory tomorrow in Yorkshire Division One at North Ribblesdale.

Mike McKessar – father of prop Ryan – and Dean Hecke are among former Salem players visiting from the Land of the Long White Cloud for the World Cup who will be at Grove Park.

Having lost their opening two, Salem have won their last two but are expecting a tough test at Ribb, especially as they are without a specialist open-side flanker, with Joe Fawcett potentially out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and Jamie Booth missing due to work commitments.

Winger Sam Savage, not for the first time, switches to the back row, which gives Salem an opportunity to give ex-Wibsey Warriors RL centre Nick Fontaine a starting league debut.

Leaders Bradford & Bingley welcome back locks Brett Mitchell and Harry Jeffrey and props Roger Raper and Ryan Wederall at home to second-placed Bridlington, who have also won four out of four but have already lost by one point at Wagon Lane this season (24-23 in the Yorkshire Cup in late August).

Martin Whitcombe, rugby chairman for the Bees, said of their 49-7 victory at West Park Leeds last weekend: "It was our biggest away win for several years and our best defensive performance of the season."

Cleckheaton, with a solitary losing bonus point from four matches, have a glorious opportunity of their first win in National League Three North.

Second-from-bottom Cleck host basement boys Burnage, and include former Darlington Mowden Park and Bergerac centre Josh Hall in place of the unavailable Lee Queeley, while hooker or back rower Joey Carley, a mate of Hall's, is on the bench.

Keighley, who have climbed to third in Yorkshire Division Two, are hoping to back up their record 72-7 home win over Barnsley at Moortown, while Old Grovians would do the Rose Cottage club a favour if they beat second-placed Pontefract at Elm Tree Farm.

Baildon, like Old Grovians, are in need of a win and travel in hope to Northallerton, who are also on seven points in Yorkshire Division Three.
