BRADFORD Dragons have formerly announced the signing of Adria Rodriguez Vinas, Henri Bongoma and Przemyslaw Wojcik to their 2015-16 roster.

Vinas, a 6ft 2in Spanish point guard, joins the Dragons from National Basketball League Division One rivals Reading Rockets, having previously also played for Sheffield Arrows.

On his move back to Yorkshire, Vinas said: "I think this Bradford team has something special and if we work hard and stick together, we can accomplish anything.

"I personally feel very comfortable playing for the Dragons and (coach) Chris Mellor gives me the confidence to improve my game every day and help my team.

"I would love to win a title this season. Last year we (Rockets) lost a final against Manchester Magic and it still hurts. It would be nice to get one this time around."

Meanwhile, 25-year-old guard Bongoma – also 6ft 2in – arrives from Belgium club Racing PC Schaerbeek.

His playing career started at the Young Basketball School in Italy, after which he made his first senior start in Belgium's third division at the age of 16. He has since played at both division three and two level for clubs in and around the Brussels area.

Bongoma said: "This is a great opportunity with a good coach (Mellor) who is trying to bring the club to the highest level. I am here to help the club win. I want to win everything."

Wojcik, aged 24 and 6ft 6in, has most recently played for KS Cracovia in Poland's second and third divisions.

The Polish forward said: "I am happy to get a new experience, to meet new players and to improve my game. I have a constant hunger to win in every game that I play."

Dragons head coach Mellor said about the three new arrivals: "Adria is going to be an important player for us.

"I like his attitude. He understands how to control the tempo of a game and can break opponents down off the dribble. He is tough and a willing passer."

"Henri is another key player. His work ethic and mind-set is on my wavelength and he has good all-round skills, which will enable him to do many different things for us at both ends of the floor.

"Shamek (Wojcik) will help clean things up around the basket at both ends of the court and is a player who I see improving a lot over the season.

"He plays with heart and his length will help us, especially in defence. If I can maximise his strengths, he will make a big contribution for us."

All three players were involved in the Dragons' victories at Leicester and Doncaster last weekend and will be in action again at Tees Valley Mohawks in Middlesbrough today.

* Two junior Dragons players – Haben Malcolm-Warner and Joe Barrett – have been included in the England-under 15s and under-16s boys squads respectively following their performances for Yorkshire in the National Regional Development Tournament.
