LOW Moor Holy Trinity are virtually safe from relegation from Division of the Foster's Halifax League.

Their 29-run victory over Luddenden Foot was just what the doctor ordered, and the visitors did well to make 235-5 after being sent in on a green, wet wicket.

Nick Wood (74), Mark Mills (58) and Sam Chilvers (46) gave Moor their pre-tea boost, and Martin Jenkins (4-48) and Mark Stokes (2-19) reduced the hosts to 36-4 before a stands of 73 and 42 took Foot to 161-6.

That became 204-9 but Brad Williamson and Wood then combined to pull off a sensational run out with a handful of balls to give Low Moor breathing space in the relegation battle.

They are now fourth from bottom with 120 points, ahead of Bradshaw (105), Stones (104) and Luddenden Foot (104).

At the other end of the table, Northowram will take a 15-point lead over Oxenhope into next week's match between the sides at Oxenhope, with the runners-up berth seemingly at stake as Sowerby St Peters have already been promoted.

Oxenhope lost at Bridgeholme by three wickets, while Hedge Top won a rain-affected match at home to Bradshaw with the help of a lightning 83 not out from No 6 James Fearnley.

Lewis Hopkinson (40) and Tom Tetley (37) were top scorers in Oxenhope's 158, and they had Bridgeholme at 24-4 before they recovered to win by three wickets, Jazdev Jheeta taking 4-51.

In the Premier Division, Queensbury trounced SBCI by eight wickets to rise to 11 points behind third-from-bottom Blackley.

Two Queensbury bowlers shared ten wickets, with Girdev Singh taking 7-48 and Amjad Ali 3-37 as SBCI were dismissed for 86, Azhar Ali then making 49 not out as the target was reached in 19 overs.

Jer Lane maintained their four-point lead over second-placed Booth with a five-wicket win at Mytholmroyd.

Simon Collins (7-55) and Raqeeb Younas (105no) were Jer's star performers.

Shelf's Steve Priestley must have been the most frustrated cricketer of the day in Division Two as his team's home game with Outlane was abandoned.

He made 107 (including 18 fours and three sixes) – more than half his team's 202 – and then come on as fifth bowler and had taken 4-9 as Outlane were 157-6 off 32 overs when the rains came.

Great Horton Park Chapel look set for promotion, recording their 14th win of the season against Denholme Clough.

Zubar Patel took 3-19 as Clough were bowled out for 140, and Chapel replied with 141-3 in 30 overs as Ammar Syed made 76 and Adam Beesley 55 not out.

But who goes up in tandem is anyone's guess as just three points separate the next three places with Old Crossleyans, Clayton and Outlane in a real dogfight..

A statisticians delight occurred at Clayton, where Paul Gelder, Mitesh Mistry and Joe Selby all took 2-35 in a rain-affected win against Cullingworth, who were 109-7 off 34 overs after the hosts had made 179-9.
