DAVE Shaw produced the best bowling performance on a rain-reduced Dales Council League programme.

He took 6-33 as third-placed Pudsey Congs dismissed Baildon B for just 62 to secure a ten-wicket win in Division C at Fulneck.

Tom Ayres struck an unbeaten 66 as Pudsey St Lawrence B made 114-7 in 34 overs at Drighlington.

The total proved no problem to the home side as they sauntered to a nine-wicket win. John Barker led the way with an unbeaten 53.

Halifax Direct kept their grip on the Division A leadership as they defeated Leeds Sikh by 50 runs. Direct made 213-8 before bowling out Sikh for 163, with Harcharan Seehra scoring an unbeaten 83.

Savile Stars were left feeling under the weather as rain deprived them of almost certain victory. Stars had reduced New Wortley to 47-7 after making 152.

Division B leaders Woodhouse restricted third-placed Baildon to 114-8 at Sandal and then knocked off the runs for the loss of only three wickets. Nisar Javed made a battling 57 for Baildon in the 27-over match.

Adel conceded to Drighlington and Farsley did likewise against Cookridge B.
