THERE was frustration for some non-League clubs last night as the wet weather hit the friendly fixture list.

Bradford Park Avenue’s trip to Ossett Albion was postponed and Thackley’s home derby against Farsley Celtic was also shelved.

The Celts and the Dennyboys quickly rescheduled their game and it will now be played at Throstle Nest tomorrow.

Avenue will have to wait until Saturday for their next run-out when they travel to take on Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

Brighouse Town did play and they beat Huddersfield Town’s under-21 side 2-1 with goals from Ernest Boafo, from the penalty spot, and Danny Facey. The Terriers youngsters grabbed a late consolation through Flo Bojaj.

Liversedge lost 3-2 at home to Goole AFC and Eccleshill United were also beaten, with the Eagles going down 3-1 at Garforth Town.
