Bairstow begins Yorkshire revival
JONNY Bairstow has gone beyond 50 for the seventh time in nine LV= County Championship innings this summer as Yorkshire rebuild on day one against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.
With rain forcing an early tea, the England hopeful has reached 58 in helping to take the White Rose from 55-4 to 116-4 in the 42nd over.
Bairstow, 58 not out, has shared 61 unbroken for the fifth wicket with Australian Aaron Finch, who is unbeaten on 21.
No wickets have fallen in an afternoon which has seen two stoppages, the latter being the most significant.
