THE Bradford Bulls squad is set for a hair-raising experience tonight when the players have a sponsored waxing session in aid of a team mate’s sister left paralysed after a car crash.
Bulls loose forward Dave Petersen set up an online fundraising page for his sister Sammi Petersen, 22, who suffered multiple injuries in the two-vehicle accident near Leven, Hull, on May 17.
She suffered a broken hip and pelvis, and a T4 spinal cord injury, and now faces being in a wheelchair for the rest of her life.
Mr Petersen is looking to reach an initial £6,000 target to help towards funding for an electric wheelchair/trike, adaptations to her house and driving lessons in her new condition.
Now the squad will get waxed before and after their game against Featherstone Rovers at Odsal from 6.30pm.
