FARHAN Ali (103no) and Ijaz Matloob (72) helped Dales Council League DIVISION A leaders Halifax Direct to 274-5 at the Karmand centre, which proved too much for New Wortley as they made 191 in reply.

Third-placed Bradford Moor travelled to Roundhay to face Leeds Sikh, for whom Harcharan Seehra took 6-25 to hold the visitors to only 146. However, the hosts could only make 133 in reply as Waqas Butt (5-25) did the damage.

Pudsey Congs were bowled out for 80 at Tong before Farnley Hill went on to win by eight wickets.

At Tong Park Esholt, Shipley Prov made 221 (Kashif Ashraf 62), a total which proved enough as the hosts' spirited reply fell 17 runs short at 204.
