TWO of Bradford & Bingley's three pre-season games will be road trips as they look to shake off their poor form away from Wagon Lane.

The Bees, who have been relegated for the past two years and will be playing in SSE Yorkshire Division One for the first time next season, will travel to North One East champions Ilkley on Saturday, August 15 before visiting North One West side Kendal the following Saturday.

Another first comes on Saturday, August 29 when the club feature in the Yorkshire Shield for the first time.

They face 2014-15 runners-up Bridlington at The Hive, with the East Yorkshire outfit having been pipped in extra time in a dramatic final by Bradford Salem at Hull Ionians.

Meanwhile, Bradford & Bingley have also been getting matters off the field sorted out and have signed an agreement with Bradford College to use what are considered to be 'Premiership-standard' facilities on Tuesday nights, including their boxing gym.

Bradford College's Ian Taylor said: "The standard of our sports facilities is truly world-class as many of the British boxers used them during the 2012 London Olympic Games. We are pleased to be able to share them with the local community."

Bees performance coach Ben Greaves added: "The facilities at Bradford College rival those in the Premiership, so this initiative will definitely help the lads gain a few metres of pace around the park."

Bradford & Bingley will also be raising money for Bradford and Airedale Cancer Support and Manorlands, the Sue Ryder Hospice near Oxenhope.

The club's sold-out summer ball, which is being held at The Hive on Saturday, July 25, will be the first event in a busy Bees calendar to raise money for these two institutions. The aim is to raise around £500 for both on the night.

Bradford & Bingley have also announced an extension to their technical kit sponsorship agreement with PUMA and Genesis Sports, which will now include other teams at the club – including The Bumbles.

* Yorkshire Division One champions Bradford Salem are to have a kit deal with major financial services provider the BGL Group, which owns

Yorkshire-based Minster Law.

The BGL branding will appear on the club's senior and junior playing shirts, as well as featuring prominently around the grounds of their Shay Lane headquarters.
