BULLS prop Steve Crossley believes there is "a lot more to come" from himself as he sets his sights on London Broncos this weekend.

The recent signing from Castleford has endured a frustrating start to his second spell at Bradford after picking up a hamstring injury on his first appearance at Doncaster.

That ruled him out of the next two games against Sheffield and Whitehaven but he returned with an all-action display against Halifax in the Summer Bash victory.

Yet Crossley admitted: "I think I had a pretty average game on Saturday and I believe there is a lot more still to come from me.

"Minutes-wise, I could still play longer, but obviously I've just come back from injury. The more minutes I start to play, the more beneficial it will be for me and you will see more impact from me.

"Pulling my hamstring in the second half against Doncaster was really disappointing, especially with it being my debut back at the club I love.

"That was frustrating – but I came through the Halifax game unscathed, which was pleasing, and it was a great win.

"It was a fantastic occasion and I wasn't expecting there to be so many Bradford fans – they seemed to be all over the crowd. Even in the London-Sheffield game beforehand, all you could hear was the Bradford fans.

"That really helped us during the game and it kicked us on in that second half, especially when we were attacking that end where most of our fans were sitting."

Adam Sidlow and Paul Clough are firmly established as Jimmy Lowes' first-choice starting props, while Crossley and Epalahame Lauaki appear to be his favoured bench front-rowers.

Crossley said: "If anyone is having a poor game, then Jimmy has got the luxury of dropping someone else in there who is just as good.

"We're all keeping on our toes and that's good for the competition for places in the squad."

Crossley is now looking forward to facing a London side who battered Sheffield 46-6 at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

The Broncos, playing under the guidance of coaching consultant and legendary former Bradford boss Brian Noble, look certain to give the Bulls a testing time on Sunday.

Crossley said: "London is always a tough place to go. They're still a full-time club like us after being relegated and they have some top players.

"They had a shaky start to the season but seem to be hitting their straps now and we need to keep improving.

"We're still eyeing up the top of the league and overhauling Leigh before the start of the Super Eights. That's our target."
