FARSLEY’S season will not end with tomorrow’s last round of league matches as they still have the League Cup final to look forward to but they would have traded that for a place in the play-offs.

Neil Parsley’s men journey to Preston to take on Bamber Bridge tomorrow wondering what might have been. The roses derby could have been a promotion clash but while Farsley fell away recently, fourth placed Bamber have booked their place in the end of season extras.

Bamber will finish either fourth, or third if they beat Farsley and Brighouse Town beat third-placed Northwich Victoria.

It would be an upset if Town end their season with a home victory over the Vics but Paul Quinn’s men are on a six game unbeaten run.

ALBION SPORTS are the highest ranked of the three local sides in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division and Kulwinder Sandhu’s men would grab tenth place if they beat Staveley MW at Throstle Nest and LIVERSEDGE also win at home.

Struggling Sedge are third from bottom but are ten points clear of the trapdoor and they host Pickering Town.

THACKLEY are immediately below Albion in the table but are seven points worse off, however they have a five-point cushion over the clubs below them. The Dennyboys will finish 12th no matter what the outcome of their trip to fifth-placed Heanor Town.

In Division One, ECCLESHILL will have to win at home if they want to end above their visitors Knaresborough Town. The Eagles are currently one point better off as the sides go head to head in the mid-table battle but Town have a game in hand.

In the North West Counties Premier, tenth-placed SILSDEN head to 12th-placed Winsford United.
