WEST Bowling posted a seven-try haul in the 36-10 success at Victoria Rangers to set up an all-Pennine League Premier Division clash against Queensbury in the final of the JACK SENIOR MEMORIAL TROPHY.

The Vics, who are two divisions below the green and whites, started the tie full of vim and vigour, applying unyielding pressure on the visitors' line that resulted in prop Luke Harps crossing the whitewash for an early lead.

Bowling then settled down to their usual brand of unrelenting forward play, producing the gap for loose forward Richard Lumb to make the chalk.

Second-row forward Jack Milburn came onto a crash ball to cross on the 20-minute mark before West’s put the game out of Rangers' reach with a three-try burst.

Stand-off Max Trueman exploited a lack of numbers on the short side and then three-quarter James Crabb raced 70 metres to the posts.

Lumb collected an offload to shake off several attempted tackles for his brace, leaving scrum half Ben Heald to add his third conversion in the 26-4 half-time tally.

Vics' man of the match Ady Doherty gave a measure of hope when he touched down against his former team-mates, and Bowling were then reduced in numbers when packman Olly Bartle was sent to the bin for a professional foul.

But the visitors' superior forward dominance picked up where they left off when prop Nat Light crossed and Milburn added his second.

Heald then added his last kick to the total to ensure a visit to the Odsal Bowl next month.

Queensbury A set up a possible cup double with a 44-0 win over West Bowling A in the HUDSON FOSTER SUPPLEMENTARY TROPHY semi-final at Emsley's Rec.

Bury had the tie in the bag when they established a 22-0 interval lead and, despite a spirited Bowling response through Lee Hutchinson, Martin Birbeck and Scott Northin in the second stanza, they went on to win with ease.

Gregg Marriot posted a hat-trick and solo efforts came from Josh Boulger, Andy Stephenson, Jason Gelder, Mike Boocock, Steve Nagy and Kennedy Timewell. Boocock also kicked four conversions.

Victoria Rangers A also made the Hudson Foster final with a 30-8 home win over Odsal Sedbergh A.

Rangers' touchdowns came from Jamie Kerr (2), Sam Thornton, Hayden Sugden, Jason Dalladay and Ray Greenwood.
