DANNY Cunningham grabbed the West Yorkshire League headlines as Field maintained their iron grip on the Premier Division title race.

He scored four times in a 5-0 home victory over East End Park, with Josh Milner competing the tally.

Field assistant manager Barry Dunne said: "The state of the pitch made it a scrappy match but East End tired and we overran them in the last ten minutes."

In Division One, third-placed Wyke Wanderers drew 0-0 at home to Carlton Athletic, who are second, with Wanderers' defence being well marshalled by James Stansfield, while Joseph Walshe and James Tucker were tireless in midfield.

The visitors went closest late on when they hit the bar with a header and also forced a superb save from Ben Sharp.

Second-placed Baildon Trinity Athletic travelled to fifth-placed Garforth Rangers and came away with a valuable 1-1 draw in Division Two, especially as leaders Hartshead and third-placed Sherburn White Rose both lost.

Baildon had a number of chances via Ben Craven and Louis Francis as they hunted the opening goal but Rangers took the lead when their striker's shot flew into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper John Lamb with no chance.

However, Athletic were the more lively side as the second half started and Andrew Radosevic's hard work paid off when Craven gathered a ball on the edge of the box and ghosted past a defender before shooting into the far corner.

Substitute Jack Webster was on target for Field Reserves in their 3-1 defeat at Beeston St Anthony's Reserves in Alliance Division One, while Wyke Wanderers Reserves came away from Pool Reserves with a 3-1 win in Alliance Division Two.

Man of the match Hoi Pin Truong put Wyke ahead from a breakaway and provided their second for the improving Joe Sagar, who finished calmly.

Pool replied early in the second half but Wanderers made it 3-1 from a Gary Lupton free-kick, Michael Stowell's diving header glancing into the net.

Wyke had to play the last 20 minutes with ten men due to injury but made it ten wins from 11 matches and held on to third place.

Baildon Trinity Athletic Reserves hosted second-placed Ripon City and lost 5-3, Matthew Hand getting Athletic back into the game at 2-1 with a 'worldy' from 35 yards.

Unfortunately Baildon conceded again straight from the kick-off, although Darren Lamiot made it 3-2 before half-time by nutmegging Ripon's keeper.

Sloppy defending then allowed the visitors to score another two before Baildon player-manager Michael Haran crossed to give Ian Bolton a tap in.
