Wyke Wanderers A under-11s are top of Huddersfield RCD Junior League Division One after defeating visitors Deighton 8-0 in a feisty encounter.

Jack Leach stole the early limelight, netting all four first-half goals, including a penalty and superb run from near halfway.

Hayden Clifford netted first in the second half before Ellis Farrar, Leach and Reece Clay also found the back of the net.

Leach had the chance to convert his second penalty of the day but his shot was straight at the keeper.

Under-12 Division 4B pacesetters Bradford Warriors showed a good attitude in their 5-0 victory against visitors Cleckheaton.

Against the wind in the first half, Warriors led 1-0, but they dominated the second half. Man of the match Roberto McFarlane netted four times and Adam Worby got the other.

The under-eights Blues were edged out 3-2 by Elland A, Harry Varley and Silfie Smith being the scorers with Jack Stokes man of the match, but the Whites defeated Elland B 10-3.

Harry Horan scored nine of the goals, Lucas Kanberoglu bagging the other. Horan and Declan Jordan shared the man of the match award.

Warriors' under-sevens march on after a 12-1 victory over Dewsbury Rangers.
