THERE is not much that Shadow Parvez does not know about football after spending a lifetime in various roles in the game.

The former Bradford City scout has now spotted some new talent – but this time it is not on the field, but in the dugout.

Parvez thinks that Albion Sports have a very special boss in Kulwinder Sandhu. He just hopes that the ambitious club he voluntarily helps and holds dear can progress quickly enough to hold on to their manager.

"Kully is a very good manager and he has done a fantastic job at Albion," said Parvez.

"He loves the club and has been with them for years and would love to take them into the Evo-Stik League and even higher.

"But Albion are in a difficult position after having to move out of Bradford to find a ground with the grading they need.

"They are having to rent Farsley's place and that is a drain on the resources. The club's committee work very hard but they will find it difficult to take the club forward under the current circumstances.

"Kully could manage at a higher level and he could be tempted away. I think it would be good for Asians in football because there aren't enough managers and coaches getting jobs higher up the pyramid."

Parvez also works for another of the local non-league clubs and feels their manager is a class apart as well, with John Deacey doing a sterling job at Bradford Park Avenue.

"Kully is like John at Avenue and I think he could work at a higher level as well because he has done wonders," said Parvez.

"You can't just look at the positions of the clubs. To judge them you have to know the full facts behind the scenes.

"John has had to cope with really bad injuries and all sorts of problems. Any less of a manager wouldn't have been able to keep Avenue in the Conference North with what John has had to put up with.

"Both he and Kully have had their hands tied and could have taken their clubs to more promotions. They have both been so unlucky."
