KARL Harrison is relishing a reunion with Halifax after the Bulls were pitted against his old club in the 2015 Summer Bash at Blackpool.

The famous seaside resort will host four matches at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, May 23 and three the following day.

The action kicks off on Saturday at 12pm with the League 1 Cup Final, the pinnacle of a new competition which features all 14 League 1 teams alongside West Hull and East Leeds from the National Conference League.

The Summer Bash fixtures begin with a Cumbrian derby between Workington and Whitehaven followed by Sheffield Eagles against London Broncos.

Saturday will conclude with a mouthwatering derby between the Bulls and Halifax, kicking off at 7pm, and tickets go on sale today.

Assistant Bulls coach Harrison, who captained and coached Halifax, said: “Games between Bradford and Halifax were always big and it was a fixture I thoroughly enjoyed playing in.

“We had some great encounters and it was probably a bigger game than Leeds-Bradford at the time in the early nineties and start of Super League.

“They were huge games and this will be another special one.

“But every game is special when you are in a winning industry and I want the Bulls to win as many games as possible. That’s what we intend to do next season.”
