THE 'will he, won't he debate' regarding Damien Pearson has gone into overdrive on social media this week.

Bradford Salem's former skipper has returned to West Leeds immediately before the promotion contenders meet at Shay Lane, with Salem in second place and West Leeds in fourth in SSE Yorkshire Division Two.

"Some people have been saying on Facebook that he will play, others have been saying that he won't," said Salem's fixture secretary Neil Klenk.

"Others think it would be good if he did play, while some think that it isn't. Personally, He has given six years' great service to us, but I am disappointed that Damien has left part way through the season.

"However, his West Leeds connections at Salem aren't as strong, with Craig Busby dying and his best mate Kris Falwasser, as well as Sean Thomas and Sean Field, leaving the club."

With Jamie Booth not available, Joe Fawcett is at No 8 in an experimental Salem back-row.

Meanwhile, Keighley Cougars fans, as long as they are wearing a Cougars shirt, have been offered free entry on Saturday and for the rest of November to check up on their old boys – Dan Snowden, Ryan Smith, Danny Belcher, Chris Clough and Sam Gardner, who is Salem's director of rugby.

In addition, free entry will also be given at Shay Lane next month to anyone wearing a Bulls shirt.

Keighley have scrum half Danny Lester, lock David Iliff and flanker Tom Lowther back for the home match against Sheffield Medicals.

Cleckheaton, who are without Sam Wood and Danny Vento, include player-coach Rob Afoa-Peterson and Martin Woodhead at home to Burnage in SSE National League Three North.

SSE Yorkshire Division Three leaders Old Grovians have a derby at home to Old Modernians, while, at the other end of the table, Baildon host Stocksbridge.
