DONCASTER boss Paul Dickov insists he is not feeling the heat after a tough start back in League One.

Relegated Rovers sit just a point above the drop zone – and have won only once at the Keepmoat.

But Dickov maintains he still has the support of his board and said: "If they weren't behind me, I don't think they'd be allowing me to bring players in.

"The board have been great. They realise what a difficult summer it was and they also realised what we're trying to do here behind the scenes.

"As much as some of the performances have been disappointing, we knew there would be inconsistencies there. You probably wouldn't see the best of us until after Christmas."

Goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is set to go straight in to face City this weekend after rejoining on loan from Manchester United. He played 18 games for Doncaster last season.

Johnstone will replace Jed Steer, whose loan from Aston Villa expires after the weekend, and Dickov said: "It's just a good fit for Sam. I think that was a big factor in him coming back."

Doncaster are much better on the road, with six wins – including three in the cup – coming away from home.

Dickov, who will make a late check on James Coppinger's twisted ankle, said: "We've worked hard this week because we know it will be a tough game at Bradford."
