FARSLEY-based Leeds Karate Academy, along with Boston Spa Karate Club and Harrogate Shotokan Karate Club, held their fifth Inter-Club Under-16 Years' Championships.
About 50 juniors competed in an event to which JKS York were also invited, and Farsley's Joe Hird (Leeds) took gold in the black belt kata and the 10-11 years' boys' kumite, clubmate Charlie McMahon taking bronze, and Hird also won the best overall competitor.
The other Leeds gold went to Oliver Scott (boys' kumite six years and under).
