WITH Dean Harrison not competing due to an injury he picked up at the Ulster Grand Prix, the spotlight among Bradford's premier motor sport family switched to his dad Conrad.

And rider Conrad and passenger Lee Patterson didn't disappoint at the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup at Oliver's Mount in Scarborough.

They qualified second on their PRS-sponsored Shelbourne Honda 600 F2 sidecar behind father-and-son Ian and Carl Bell but turned the tables on the Saturday, winning both races.

Unfortunately, Harrison and Patterson couldn't match their achievements the following day, Formula Two champions the Bells getting their revenge twice, but their season isn't over as they have their final Championship round this weekend at Cadwell Park.

Dean's brother Adrian started the weekend with good practice sessions on the Printing Roller Services (PRS)-sponsored Kawasaki Honda CRB600cc and the PRS and Town Garage-sponsored Kawasaki Er650cc, qualifying in the top ten in both.

He finished ninth in the Junior 600cc race and was fourth in the lightweight 650cc race when he suffered a low-speed crash.

Slightly sore on day two, Adrian finished 16th in the Senior 1000cc class and 13th in the Junior 600cc class.
