STANNINGLEY Albion are top of the Bradford Sunday Alliance League PREMIER DIVISION after a 7-1 victory over rock-bottom Bradford Moor.

Leading 3-1 at the interval after strikes from Adam Hunter, direct from a corner kick, Kristian Dacre and Adam Jarrett, Albion really hit their straps in the second half as goals followed from Andy Kenyon, Luke Hunter, Dacre and Jarrett.

Meanwhile, Peel Park were caught on the counter-attack as they suffered their first defeat of the season, Sandy Lane triumphing 4-1.

It was 1-1 at 70 minutes, Alan Morley Junior scoring for Peel, who were wasteful in front of goal but were twice caught pressing forward in the latter stages.

Veteran keeper Ryan Blyth came out of retirement to star for Thornton United, who are third after a fine victory at Buttershaw Celtic.

Blyth made a string of fine saves, having 'one of those days' as a Dan Cunningham brace was enough to beat Celtic.

West Bowling made a disastrous start to the campaign but continue to climb the table after beating George United at Bankfoot Cricket Club 9-0.

Joe Brooksbank hit four, the second of which was a 25-yard volley into the top corner of the net, Damien Martyn bagged a hat-trick and Chris Wood and Andy Gallagher made up the tally.

In DIVISION ONE, Cuedos continue to improve after a moderate start to the season, defeating Wyke Rangers, with both Paul Fox and Christopher Mabbutt notching trebles for the winners.

Oakenshaw are top, and the only unbeaten team in the section, after a good 3-1 victory at Allerton.

White Eagles, like Peel Park, had their first loss of the campaign when they went down 3-1 at Bolton Woods Social Club.

Undercliffe Cricket Club lead DIVISION 1A after sharing the points and four goals with Oddfellows Celtic, while Anthony Hoover hit a hat-trick for Cuedos Reserves as they won 5-1 at Pudsey.

In DIVISION 1B, Wrose Albion and Toller split two goals and the points in a thrilling draw, with the Wrose goalkeeper in outstanding form.

Haseeb Rehman scored for the visitors, who move into second after Grass Greener lost a seven-goal thriller to Great Northern, Sean McVey, Rob Coulter and Matty Regan notching the goals for the home team.

Eddie Hellawell cracked six goals for Mill Lane in Division 2A as bottom club Turf were trounced, Mark Constadine and Paul Hale tagging on a brace each.

In DIVISION 3B, Steel Bangle Spartans top the tree after a landslide victory over Fiddlers Three United but there are another three clubs in the division who have still to be beaten, among them George Hotel, who gave another solid performance against Queensbury Rangers.

George went in with a three-goal lead, going on to win 6-1 thanks to a brace of goals from Thom Jeffs and Damien Doyle and one each from Nicky Reynolds and Damon Brophy.

On Thursday night, there are some lower-section fixtures, including Olympic v Grass Greener in Division 1B, plus a full programme of Division 3A and Division 3B fixtures.
