JER Lane have retained the Foster's Halifax League Premier Division title.

Their four-wicket victory at Mytholmroyd took them to 178 points, which means that even if they fail to gain another point in their two remaining matches, Booth, who are second on 154, can only equal their tally.

And Booth would lose out on the tie-break if they match Jer's points total as Lane have bowled their opposition out ten times, whereas Booth can only do that nine times even if they add two to that column over the next two weekends.

Mytholmroyd's 232-9 was reduced to 206 because of rain, Nasir Chowdrey taking 4-100 and Sam Wilson 4-61, before Jer replied with 208-6, Jonny Lister scoring 75 and Dan Laban 68 in a stand of 107 for the third wicket.

Oxenhope have secured their place in the Roy Smith First Division after defeating visitors Outlane by 40 runs.

Liam Dyson (35) and Graham Ellis (20) added 54 for Oxenhope's second wicket before Duncan Tetley (22no) and the returning Adam Bailey (14) boosted Oxenhope them to 160.

Bailey (4-35) and Tetley (3-23) then starred with the ball as Outlane were dismissed for 120.

Cullingworth suffered an agonising one-wicket at Stones, despite Graham Rankin's 6-45, to end their promotion hopes from the Terry Wynne Second Division.

The newcomers are third with 116 points but have no matches left as they finish the campaign with two byes.
