CITY are waiting to hear news on the severity of the injury to Andrew Davies.

The centre half left Valley Parade with his left arm strapped up after colliding with keeper Jordan Pickford and landing awkwardly.

Phil Parkinson said: “He’s damaged his arm and we’re going to send him to hospital for an x-ray.

“It’s obviously a blow but we can’t really say any more at this stage. We’ll have to wait and see.”

Parkinson was unhappy with referee Graham Salisbury’s display in the 1-0 loss to Peterborough.

The City boss added:”We were all in the middle of the game, kicking every ball, and he just seemed to be on his own wavelength at times. It was disappointing.

“I thought the first half was a good game of football. I was pleased with how we played apart from the final ball – too many crosses went into the keeper’s arms.

“The second half just became a scrappy affair, a lot of it because of the stoppages. Then they got the goal which allowed them to take the sting out of the game even more.

“You can blame the ref for not managing that situation. But we’ve had it here before.”
