SHAHID Mahmood is going to need a bigger mantlepiece.

The Haworth Road II all-rounder won the man of the match award for the third successive year in the Cowling Cup final as his team thrashed Bradford & Bingley III at Haworth.

Mahmood blasted ten sixes and nine fours in making 108 not out as the Baildon Bottom side won by 223 runs.

They racked up 275-4, Wajid Mahmood smiting five sixes and nine fours in 79 as he added 132 for the third wicket with Mahmood, Muzamal Ali adding 44.

Bingley were soon in trouble at 13-6, threatening the record low score for a final of 17. But Alex Saldanha (16) and skipper Nick Smith (10no) pushed the total to 52 as Anthony Haigh took 6-23 off 10.2 overs and Adam Cook 4-29 off 11.

Last year Mahmood made 115 not out and in 2012 he shared the gong with John Metcalfe (Embsay II) in a tied final, both for Wilsden II.
