ABDUL Hamid was man of the match as bowlers dominated the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League's Sir James Roberts Cup final.

Hamid took 8-24, including a hat-trick, for Bradford Moor as Girlington were dismissed for 62 on their own ground, eclipsing the earlier 6-17 by Musawar Shah in Moor's 89 all out.

Girlington, who were also runners-up last year, put Moor in and soon dismissed Imrain Haider and skipper Amir Majid before Sohail Akram (8) and Jehan Zeb (32) added a crucial 25.

Three wickets by Shah and one by Zahid Khaliq reduced Moor to 64-8 but they reached 89 before being dismissed off the first ball of the 30th over.

An opening stand of 16 gave Girlington hope, only for Hamid to take five wickets in 12 balls, which contained his three in three.

After this collapse, Girlington were 34-7 and later 40-8 but they still had a chance as long as Sajid Pervez was at the crease.

But his dismissal for seven at 51, Hamid taking his eighth wicket, sealed their fate. Hamid's final analysis was 10-1-24-8 and Girlington's innings was complete in just the 22nd over.
