Yorkshire are chasing just 106 to beat Sussex at Scarborough and go six points clear in the LV= County Championship title race.
Tim Bresnan, Adil Rashid and Steve Patterson all struck twice on day four to bowl the visitors, who started their second innings 125 behind, out for 230, although Luke Wright hit an excellent 113.
Yorkshire started their chase with 39 overs to play with and they reached tea at 18-0 from seven, needing 88 more.
