JIMMY Lowes today spoke of his delight after the Bulls claimed their third straight win and Danny Addy agreed a new two-year deal.

The 23-year-old Scotland international, who impressed during last year's World Cup, has joined Dale Ferguson, Lee Gaskell, Adam Sidlow, Tom Olbison and Adam Henry in re-signing for next season.

It is understood that Addy was attracting serious interest from Hull KR but has opted to stay loyal to the Bulls.

Addy, who scored one of the tries in yesterday's 34-28 win over Hull FC, has progressed through the ranks at Odsal and made his debut in 2010.

Head coach Lowes said: "Danny is another strong addition to our 2015 squad and we are really pleased to have him on board.

"He is a very versatile player who is capable of offering the team a huge amount.

"He is a product of the club's academy system and has plenty of years ahead of him yet.

"I have been aware of his ability for some time and look forward to seeing him line up as part of next year's team."

Addy, who will be a Bradford player until at least the end of 2016, is the 12th addition to head Lowes' squad for next season.

"Bradford is a great club, I am very happy here and saw no reason to leave," said Addy.

"There was interest from a number of Super League sides but I am delighted to be staying with the Bulls.

"Some excellent signings have been made for next year and it is great to see plenty of the boys agreeing new deals with the club.

"It fills me with a huge amount of confidence and I am already looking forward to next season.

"I believe we have the ability to bounce straight back up, which will be our main focus."

Yesterday's success was the first time in two years that Bradford have racked up three straight Super League wins.

Gaskell had a hand in several tries and Lowes said: "He's a running six.

"He and Galey (Luke Gale) are working really well together now and have got a bit of a combo going. I think Adam O'Brien was really good as well."

Joe Arundel scored twice and Jay Pitts also touched down against their parent clubs but it remains to be seen where they will play next season.

Lowes said: "They've been buzzing all week, to be fair to them. There should be that spark every week – not just because they're playing a club that sort of let them go.

"It's nice for them to win against their parent club and they're good players. We're in talks with quite a lot of people and we'll see where we are in the next few weeks with those boys."

Pitts and Arrundel would also be good signings. It is a pity Gale is going as the half backs are really starting to play well together. We are now starting to look like we will keep a super league quality team for next year. I have no doubt we will finish in the top two next year but we need a team capable of winning all three championship games plus at least one SL team (Wakey) in those play off's.

Excellent news for next season, the side is coming together nicely now, wonder who will be the next to sign on?. Addy is an excellent player who has more than proved his worth with his versatility to the cause this year. I'm not too bothered if Gale goes on his much reported move to Cas, he is a decent player but has never convinced me he is the half back to lead the team around the park, perhaps this move will bring the best out of him, and lets face it he is rumored to be on big money at the Bulls, brass that can be spent more wisely. Looking good for a finish as stated in the top two, i am alot more optimistic now than i was a couple of months ago.

Absolutely delighted by this. Addy is a very skillfull player and has worked hard to get his place in the starting line up. He also wasn't highly regarded as a junior (like Donaldson and Bateman for example) but he has shown his value to the team and club as a whole during these tough years.

Hopefully the fans and club can repay the faith shown by him.

Addy’s a good championship level player but I’ve got my doubts as to whether he’s super league level. His defence could be a lot better, for a forward he misses too many tackles (second worst in super league). Defending out wide as a second row or loose forward he gets beaten for pace and ends up shoulder grabbing.

That said, Lowes using him at prop seems to work alright as his footwork seems to negate his lack of size in attack. He’ll do a job and is versatile. He has a good kicking game and can pass. We’ll need him to improve on this year’s showing. Not a bad re-signing but not one to exaggerate.

How do you know he is a championship player? He has never played in it. Looks like a lot of the squad players at your club also look like championship players,in the last couple of weeks beaten by the two bottom clubs in S.L.Does not say much about the Leeds academy, does it?

Great news for the Club as DA always does what is asked of him, glad to see that JL has moved him to his strongest position.

I think the key to the squad will be if we can keep Gale or replace him with a decent go forward attitude.

i still do not think think we will be guaranteed to go straight back up as some on here do; it is going to be a proper scrape in the Championship to get a SL 2 slot and then the real battle commences. London showed yesterday that they will be in the mix next season as well.

Going to be more exciting than the SL at this rate.

Addy's versatility will be a massive boost for us next year! in a year where we will hopefully have to play super league opposition on a championship budget having players like addy to cover many positions will save us having to buy numerous players as cover. Personally i'm delighted he has signed up and wants to get the club back up, great attitude! and Cas have shown this year that a good attitude can go a long way in RL.

Also totalrl.com are reporting that a new signing will be announced for the bulls tomorrow morning! anyone have any idea who it may be or heard any rumors??

Axel,
It is on the field where it counts, not on paper.Looking at Leeds results against Bradford and London where they played a lot of their squad players,it looks obvious to me that they were not good enough to beat the leagues two worst sides. One day soon Sinfield,Peacock etc.will have retired then we will see how they cope without the two best players and leaders in S.L.You should know nothing lasts forever leeds turn will come when they will struggle again.By the way, where was you in Cue Gardens with your mate Nosher.
